Now that the show’s done and everybody’s satisfied that Don never became D.B. Cooper, it’s time to do away with all the props of Mad Men. Which means that if you’ve got some extra cash, you could be the proud owner of some smart midcentury accessories (or some hideous ‘70s tchotchkes, if that’s your thing).

The Smithsonian got several of the big-ticket items, like Don’s fedora. But there are hundreds and hundreds of penny-ante props they’ve got to get rid of, and Gothamist reports that more than 1,400 are now on auction at Screenbid.com.

For instance, you could pick up Peggy’s compact and handkerchief (asking price $125) or one of Joan’s handbags ($200).

Or make a bid on Betty’s hairbrushes ($100) or Don’s cashmere sweater ($275):

But you could also acquire this very hip and artistic duck painting of Don’s, asking price $50:

You can all fight it out for this $125 TAB can.

I was really hoping Jez wouldn’t post about this to increase my chances of winning. THANKS A LOT.
